FAQ :

The MES is a scheme framed by the ICMAI to create a mechanism for empanelling and categorising Cost Accountant firms. It aims to provide stakeholders with a pool of evaluated practising professionals for audit and other assignments.

The scheme has been introduced due to representations for authorising Cost Accountants (CMAs) for various assignments and to provide a structured way for stakeholders to find qualified professionals.

The prime objective is to support stakeholders by providing a rationally evaluated and categorised pool of practising professionals and to ensure a level playing field for practising members.

An Exposure Draft is a preliminary version of a scheme or document released for public comment and consultation before it is finalised.

Comments can be submitted by regulators, industry associations, and other stakeholders.

The deadline for submitting comments and suggestions on the Exposure Draft is 17th March 2022.
