The ICAI Doctoral Scholarship Scheme is an initiative by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India to provide monthly scholarships to eligible members pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in specific fields.
Eligibility requires confirmed Ph.D. registration from UGC recognised Indian Universities/Deemed Universities/Colleges, or IIMs with an approved Ph.D. Programme. Candidates should possess outstanding academic credentials and a commitment to research.
The scholarship is applicable for doctoral research in Auditing, Taxation, Commerce, Management, and Accounting.
Applicants need to submit a duly signed application form, a research proposal (max 3000 words), an abstract (max 300 words), and self-attested copies of academic marksheets, qualification proofs, ICAI membership, and PhD enrolment.
The scanned copy of the application form along with enclosures should be submitted via email to doctoral.research@icai.in. Original documents will be required upon scholarship award.
The application form includes a declaration stating that the applicant has not availed of other major doctoral fellowships such as UGC JRF, Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship, or similar grants.
