The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has issued an advisory for its members regarding the updation of UDINs (Unique Document Identification Numbers) on the e-filing portal. Following reports of UDIN invalidations, the ICAI has implemented technological changes and urges members to re-update any previously invalidated UDINs. All members must ensure all pending UDINs are updated on the e-filing portal by 31st May 2022.

ICAI advises members to update all pending UDINs on the e-filing portal immediately.
There have been various instances of UDINs being invalidated at the e-filing portal, prompting this advisory.
Members are advised to try again to update those UDINs which have been invalidated earlier at the e-filing Portal.
The last date for updating UDINs at the e-filing portal is 31st May 2022.
Members are advised to be more careful in selecting the correct fields while generating UDINs.
