Punjab has seen a significant 24.5% increase in Goods and Services Tax (GST) revenue during the first eight months of the current fiscal year (April-November 2022-23) compared to the previous year. The state collected ₹11,967.76 crore, an increase of ₹2,355.6 crore over last year's ₹9,612.6 crore. To further enhance tax collection and analysis, the state plans to utilise the GST Prime data analysis tool and has established a new Tax Intelligence Unit.
