The E-Way Bill system has introduced several new features to benefit enrolled transporters and taxpayers. Transporters can now de-register from the system if they no longer wish to use it, meaning their Transporter ID cannot be used for future e-Waybills. Taxpayers who enrolled using a common enrolment ID can also cancel this enrolment. While they can no longer update transporter details with this ID, they can still update Part-B for existing e-Waybills for a month post-cancellation. Additionally, a two-factor authentication (2FA) option has been added for enhanced login security, which will become mandatory soon.
