The Income Tax Department, via their official Twitter handle, has released the figures of Income Tax Refunds made between 1st April 2021 and 3rd May 2021. Know the amount of total refund and its bifurcation below:
CBDT issues refunds of over Rs. 15,438 crore to more than 11.73 lakh taxpayers between 1st April, 2021 to 03rd May, 2021. Income tax refunds of Rs. 5,047 crore have been issued in 11,51,408 cases & corporate tax refunds of Rs. 10,392 crore have been issued in 21,487 cases.
