The Institute of Company Secretaries of India is a premier National professional body (imparting education primarily through distance learning alongwith provision for optional oral coaching classes) set up under an Act of Parliament (The Company Secretaries Act, 1980), to develop and regulate the profession of Company Secretaries. Admission to the CS course is open throughout the year. After qualifying the Foundation Programme, students are required to clear the Executive and Professional Examination and to undergo Practical and Modular Training to become qualified Company Secretaries.
