An understanding of global accounting principles like US GAAP and IFRS will be an added advantage. Familiarity with XBRL will be a desired skill.
o Understanding reporting requirements by companies incorporated within and outside India with a view to make an effective Indian as well as global database, knowledge-base and analytical outputs.
o Keeping abreast of changes in Indian and global accounting and disclosure norms with a view to make effective corresponding changes in the database and outputs.
o Understanding ratio analysis, peer comparison and other generic analytical application of company level databases with a view to contributing towards the making of finely-defined ratios or algorithms to enable superior analysis.
o Understanding differences in disclosures by companies in different countries with a view to building mappings across these to enable cross-country comparisons.
o Documenting methodologies and changes in the same.
o Engaging with clients to help them gain a better understanding of the database in their specific areas.
