Job Description
CMIE is in the process of building a similar database and knowledge-base for companies in different countries. It has decided to create a new team that will work exclusively on building a standardised database of global companies. Candidates who would join this team would necessarily have a good background in commerce and a keen interest in accountancy.
The job will entail profound and continuous learning.
The job will include the following responsibilities:
Understanding the financial schema/ financial taxonomy to be able to database financial and non financial information about companies.
Analytical skills to judge and record financial information as per the financial schema/ financial taxonomy
Understanding of financial statements, annual reports, listing manuals of reporting entities in different geographies.
Basic understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) will be an added advantage.
Required educational background and skills
B.Com/BAF or M.Com with a good understanding of accountancy
Working Knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards or IFRS or US GAAP will be an added advantage
Attention to detail and urge for continuous learning
Good inter personal skills to entail seamless communication among team members
Compensation is a function of qualifications and work experience, if any.
