Well, cannot figure out the reason !!

May be there are less people out here from CWA or they just dont discuss it cuz they are already tired of discussing other courses they have taken up! 

anyways,its a matter of worry! people should actively engage in discussion about all courses.

This is is CAClub India,so obviously the people here mostly are CAs and CA students. As for CS discussions,mostly a CA does CS for dual advantage,so many  people here are doing CS along with CA,but the population of people doing CWA along with CA is less hence discussions are less.That is what I feel..

hey may becoz ICWAI and ICAI is at fight bcoz even ICWAI is also known as ICAI nw........................

i don't know what type of discussion expecting you from cwa section ...but i'll let you know one thing that 

if you need any help, suggestion, gudience , or want to share some kind of info..with us ..most welcome !!!

& also one thing that  if non others is discussing  abt any imp. topic..then even you can start urself & if members found relevant they can even a post..

Dear. see these two threads, we had discussion and result sharing........................i had also shared my result.............But unfortunetly result is declared on about 8.15 p.m..................so that major students were not able to share and discuss................

Even CCI is not keen in changing the subforum title from "CWA to CMA" under students section.

somebody has said that students are doing CA and CS simultaneously for dual advantage - I do not know what does it mean - you can have only one certificate of praticeafter passing  - either CMA or CS or CA.

In my opinion, particularly in a manufacturing company, be it procurement, production, maintenance, operation planning, pricing, marketing or any domain of prime managerial function, the CMA plays a crucial role. If a company is competitive and is in an advantageous position as compared to its competitors in terms of material utilisation, labour efficiency, marketing strategies etc., the brain behind should necessarily be a CMA. CMA is grossly involved in decision making and improving the quality of operations and management. That’s why all over the world the profession is called Cost and Management Accountancy. The CMAs help in providing a direct and tangible contribution to the economy in terms of optimum utilization of resources or other yardsticks of productivity or efficiency or waste elimination.

So, pls start any discussion that you want to initiate on the profession of cost and management accountancy and generally people will gather interest. But if the focus of the discussion remain mainly on pay package or in terms of tangile and material benefit to the practicioner, I think it will become one-dimensional.

I think you want to take this discussion towards CA vs CWA. As for dual advantage,everybody knows that you cant hold two COPs together,but you missed the point here. In industry you dont need COPs to work. It is not like that if you dont have a COP of CS then u dont have knowledge of law even after passing finals. In industry if you have a combination of CA and CS(finance+law),it is advantageous position than having a single qualificationor CA and CWA(finance+finance). Hope you understand what I am trying to say.

And the person who asked the query here was not asking which is better or something she was just asking why are there no specific discussions about CWA,like CA students have their discussions about faculty,etc,what I made from the question. otherwise subject wise queries are almost the same as subjects are almost same in CA and CWA.

Hi.. Sabia.. Your initiative is welcome.. People are regularly discussing abt CMA... Recently in some of the result oriented discussions there was almost a fight for CA vs CMA.. Wat is actually required is fruitful discussion which acts as a guidance for all..

i wud request all my CCI frens to not to indulge in to argument of CA vs CWA vs CS ... every professional course having its own weighatge ... m requesting all pls never underestimate any aspirant because some whr its realy hampers morale of us. 

In my post I have not uttered a single word about any other profession apart from Costing let alone have a comparison. What I wanted to emphasize was that CMAs contribute a lot of work behind the scenes and more often than not their contributions do not come into the limelight and not properly remunerated also. Neither do I have any intention nor any authority to initiate a comparison between different lines of accounting professions because in my little knowledge I understand that every line has its own space and domain. Elaborating the role of a cardiologist does not mean that that is a better stream of healthcare than that of a neurologist because both of them have a special area of performance although sometimes one does the job of others. As a CMA, I thought I could share with the prospective students of CMA course the contribution of a CMA to have a better clarity.                          

I would request Mr. Atir to please let everybody know how did he interpret my post as being a comparison between CMA and CA and that too between CMA and CA alone and not CMA – vs - CS.
