XML error while uploading

I'm trying to file rectification request, and have opted for data correction. So I have refilled ITR 2 for AY20-21 and generated X M L using the latest utility. However, when I'm trying to upload the X M L while doing online rectification I am getting error cannot fetch details.

1. When the user is uploading XML, the Gross Total Income and Deductions amount should be the same as in the processed return.
2 The assesse should select 'Filing Type' as 'Rectification' in the ITR utility and upload the XML.

The GTI and deductions are the same. Under filing type, the ITR utility does not provide a drop down as 'Rectification', so I have to choose 'Revised Return' instead. Also while uploading the error states "cannot fetch details". So is it a site error?

My dear, you cannot revise the ITR for AY 2020-21 now.

Only possibility is for rectification  request....

I am not revising the return, but the ITR utility does not provide the option of 154 in Filing Type. What should I select then in the ITR utility?

File complaint under Grievances for option of rectification for AY 2020-21.

Did you get any response from them? I am getting the same error, first was getting invalid hash details and now failed to fetch details while uploading the X M L 

HI All Even i am getting error as " CREATED BY CANNOT BE NULL" while filing the rectification error for the AY 2020-21.

Can someone provide the solution for this.

I am trying to file rectification for AY 2017-18 and I am getting the following error:

"Failed to fetch details"

As seen from the above conversation, no solution is provided to it as such. Kindly please look into the same and let me know how we can resolve the error. Thanking the professionals in advance.

Also sent e-mails to CPC several times sharing with them screen shot etc but till date they are unable to solve the issue. Instead they are replying the mails and advised to check your profile section and correct e mail id, address pin code etc and re load the X M L/json file again to delay the process.

Kindly please look into the same and let me know how we can resolve the error

I was facing the same issue "cannot fetch details". I was trying to upload the json file on the saved draft rectification request.

Later I tried to upload the rectification through the new request and the validation was successful. It worked for me.

You all can also try this step. All the best.
