I intend to take a copy of Annual report of a Company filed in XBRL format from MCA. I would like to know from friends as to how I will be able to read the XBRL file to understand all parts of the Annual Report.

Obtain the XML file from the MCA site by viewing public documents for Rs. 50/- charges.
Then download the XBRL validation tool from MCA site and validate the XML file downloaded from MCA site.
After validating the file, you will get the PDF file of XBRL and not excel file.
The PDF contains all the data you need to review a annual report.
