Please advise for the below issue…
One of my client paid TDS using wrong TAN number…Is there any solution to change the TAN no. for the same ??? Challan paid on 07 September, 2018

You can correct TAN number on challan on OLTAS within 7 days from challan deposit date. Since the challan date is 7 September, 2018, so now you can not correct it on OLTAS. Now the second alternative available is following:
1- An application from TAN holder stating to correct the TAN.
2- Copy of challan stating BSR Code, challan number, challan date, signed by authorized authority.
3- Copy of bank statement rhrough which tax was paid.
4- Indemnity Bond
After preparation of above documents, submit letter to Assessing Officer. A.O. will assess the data and will put it online which will take around 7-14 days to get rectified.
After that you can on OLTAS or on traces to make sure that TAN number has been changed.
