Wrong ref number in 143/1 arrear demand

reference no is for their ease, not yearwise, 

1112 means 2011-12, and it represents the running sl no of work done in the financial year, irrespecitive of the assessment year,  for any assessment year, but issued in current financial year, its valid.

H1 may be the code of the officer /desk concerned for processing the intimation.

I had another question on availability of online rectification for AY 2008-2009.  FAQ says its supported only for AY 2009-2010 onwards, but the pull down option do have AY 2008-2009.

Is online functional/available for AY 08-09 ?. If not, is normal letter would do ?

rectification u/s 154 is available upto 30 days of communication of 143(1), which is already over for 2008-09

however due to late communication, some assesee are still getting the intimation by late, and they can file rectifcation u/s 154 within 30 days of comun ication. 

Date of communication is "14-11-2011" .

try to file rectification, if its generated from system within 30 days, then it would be accepted

rectification for ay 2008-09 is not possible
