We have received an inceom tax notice under Sec 245 and recovery of Rs 47100.00 from Income Tax office, towards the income tax filed for A.Y 2009-10. In return we enquire with the Income tax officials at Indore and they said that someone else had filled the Income tax with your PAN at Kanpur. where as we have not filed any I.T.R. in the year.
We seek your kind guidance on the issue.
You have to write to AO saying that the Return does not belong to you . The sign on return are fake. This is the reason that Income tax dept is asking for ITR-V or e-verification
Yes please respond in written to the ao.
You need to login to the efiling website and check as to who has filed the return on your behalf. It may be an ERI or someone has misused your PAN. Also check your form26AS for the said year.
In any case, you need to intimate the said act to the ITO vide a written Letter intimating them of the misuse. Do not fail to take an acknowledgement from the ITO of such submission of the letter. Also in response to the demand notice, reply online as demand disagree and provide your reason
