works contractors for government work and private work
is there any billing format specified for works contractors who rendering services to government, semi government and private work. Please guide and its gst applicable rate, 12 or 18 percent

12% for Govt. work and 18% for private.

Invoice format is not prescibed under GST law. The required details in the invoice are prescibed under Rule 46 of CGST Rules, the tax invoice shall have all such details.
You can have any format at your decretion.
