Working on ERP packages

All ERP packages like SAP or Oracle will have different modules such as FA,CO,MM,PP representing Finanacial accounting, Costing, Materials management, production planning etc. The module on FA will enable to take report on all financial data. One should ensure that all system parameters are in place and all master data are entered, like material master for inventory, accounting (codes) master for TB,P&L and B/S, Fixed Assets Master etc.   

Oracle has different module i.e. G.L. Module, A.P. Module, A.R., Inventory , Fixed Assets Module. Different trans. are processed in different module i.e. stock in inventory module / Bill processing in A.P. Module & all data integrated in G.L. Module & we can get Trial Balance from G.L. Module.

Oracle is totaly on report basis  & all trans posted th numeric code ,if we want any data from system we have to run that report , it may be from inventory /G.L or from any module.If we want to take Ledger of any party we have to run General Ledger Datail report ,similarly we can get any report regarding qty. information/Expenses/ F.G. etc.
