Withdrawal from Dividend account

Excess amount was transferred to dividend account while transferring the amount to the dividend account. All shareholders have been paid their dividend. Can the excess amount transferred be withdrawn or transferred to company's current account?

Quick Summary
This discussion addresses how to handle an excess amount mistakenly transferred to a dividend account after all shareholders have received their dividend payments. Options include withdrawing the excess funds to the company's current account, provided banking facilities allow, or closing the account and transferring the proceeds if no further liabilities exist. A notice to shareholders about future dividend reductions is also suggested.

From banks it can be if facility is available.

Or else leave it off and send a notice to them that next dividends will be reduced.

Yes ,If there is no liability then such account can be closed and proceeds will be transferred to company's account..

Thank you all for replying

It has been a great help.
