Hi friends govin here and i am 30 years old. I am working as a senior executive (audit and taxation) in a listed , real estate company. I am just a B.com graduate and want to persue professional course in accounting and finance. I cannot take up Chartered Accountancy , as I have lot of commitments , i cannot quit my job and undergo articleship. I am planning to take up ICWA as i can claim exemptions, i have work experience of 6 years in acccounts/audit/tax in 1000+ crores turnover company. Dear friends i want your valuable suggestions , will ICWA help and add weightage to my career in real estate industry. As i have heard from my CA qualified colleagues that ICWA is preferred only in manufacturing sectors.

not thats the wrong impression...u can find that cost accountant and chartered accountant can apply for the same post (in banking examz) only stat audit is restricted to CA....yes cost accountant can do miracle in manufacturing unit becauz its a cost based region.... becauz realstate sector is also a cost thought region......u can play der more effectively and as u working der...take my words no one can hold u.....so u can frwd with ICWAI course and powers are the same with CA and Cost Accountants....so from my side no second thoughts go for it..all remains the same.....
