Two co-owners (husband and wife) are purchasing a real-estate property. The value of the flat is above 50lakhs. My question is whether both husband and wife are liable to deduct TDS @ 1% each? If yes, will the wife be still liable to deduct TDS if only the husband is paying the proceeds from his account?
It would be highly appreciated if anyone can share a relevant case law if any.
