Please can any one tell me actually reason that why amount count as double from 1st july of winning from lottery and horse race. example if horse race winning amount is more 2500. then it will taxable, but from 1st july is does 5000. ?????

Since long time that limit was not changed. Hence CBDT has changed it,,,,keeping in view the inflation.....i guess.
