why is capital fund in npo is liability although the entity does not have to repay it ?

Capital is assets minus liabilities. Considering NPO as seperate entity, amount invested by members is liability for NPO towards members

Capiatl is always liability that teh amount have been introduced by the promoters and not generated by the NPO itself.
