Can 1 person become a WTD of 2 companies ?

No, one person cannot become a Whole Time Director in two companies.
Further, I invoke your attention to Section 203(3) of the Companies Act, 2013 which explicitly states as under
"A whole-time key managerial personnel shall not hold office in more than one company except in its subsidiary company at the same time"
