Sumit aggarwal.. Its a new book and you must take a look.. If u want u can also download sample notes online..
go for padhuka for professional ethics & other chapters....its a comprehensive book but if you cover it properly then you can score good marks in a subject like audit. cover SAs from Surbhi Bansal book....her charts and mnemonics are really helpful
Also Practice Manual is must for practice...although u will find fair amount of questions for practice in padhuka itself

Does Surbhi Bansal book contains mnemonics also?

thank you all for your suggestions & recommendation
dear nishant...I took coaching from CA Surbhi Bansal so got the mnemonics and all....but even if you haven't attended classes (classes are not required for audit in my opinion) still her charts & summaries on SAs are very helpful. you can make your own mnemonics.

@ Shivani. Thanks . But Padhukas book is over 700 pages. I am planning to do audit from Pankaj Garg (652 pages= 460 pages normal chapters and 190 pages SAs) + PM + Last 3 RTPs. Do you think it would be enough for 50-60?

nishant I know padhuka is very comprehensive but its a great book if u cover it properly...I also prepared from it in 3-4 months time when I was not able to clear group 1 because of low marks in audit. I took coaching as I mentioned but it is of no use to me...I had realised that surbhi bansal book was not enough for my preparation... so I changed my plan of studies with padhuka as reference book....sometimes wavelength between the author and the student does not match....that's why I chose padhuka after surbhi bansal. u have to decide whether u r comfortable reading pankaj Garg book. first u glance its chapters and topics and see if it matches with your wavelength.

@ Shivani. I have analysed the question paper of audit and concluded that about 40 + 15 = 55 marks or 50-60 marks paper is covered by PM & RTPs. So, it means if I cover these 2 well. Then the role of ref. book is for limited marks and Pankaj Garg is also not very brief (650+ pages). Even in May 2016 Paper 50 marks out of 120marks were from PM (you can attempt 42 after leaving choice) and 16 marks from topics covered in RTPs. (Ravi Taori Sir analysis). So, thats 58 marks means Ref. book relevant only for 42 mars. Thats why I think P.Garg better than Padhuka. Do you think my approach is right? Please guide as my attempt is due in May 2016?

see PM & RTPs are must for exam preparation... everyone covers that( I'm assuming).....here the question asked in thread is about which reference book to be used so I answered accordingly. now for ref book...I mentioned in my previous answer what you need to do...if u are comfortable with Pankaj Garg book then go for it.

@ Shivani. Thank You M'am for your suggestions and guidance.

My pleasure. All the Best for exams.
