which book to buy

Select Praveen sir book if you have attended his classes, else, its better to refer Padhuka. But my advise is its good to refer PC Tulsian, which is good for accounts and used by many.
 

my suggestion is first go through Institute material then next it is prefarable to go through Padhuka or Advanced Accounts book written by T.S Grewal.

if you are taking coaching from somewhere then refer that institute's notes...........otherwise refer the module provided by ICAI and compiler

icai books are very use . its enough to pass ipcc.

No need to have confusion. Just buy P C Tulsian book for Accounts. It has lot of practice problems starting from small to comprehensive problems. Just have a look in the shop, then you will only purchase that. Needless to mention, in addition to Tulsian, you should complete RTPs and Compilation of this subject to make a full-fledge preparation. These will definitely fetch u good scoring.

I do agree P.C.TULSIAN  & M.C.SHUKLA 's  books are the best for accounts.

Don't think any go for PC tulsian
