I have started my practice recently and want to know if I should join an established CA firm for specialisation in Direct Taxes as I have a keen interest in litigation in direct taxes, al suggestions welcome.

As a beginner, you need a support from expert to handle litigation atleast 3 yrs. Then, connect yourself with professional association and attend some webinar.
Theory is a knowledge what we learnt in past. But, practical experience leads us how apply our knowledge at present.
