Whether ICAI is correct??

Hey Friends I am doing Industrial Training which is in last 9 month of our articlesip ,I heard about ICAI's 3 month residential prograame of Professional Development,they said that it is a part of our articleship period, i become very happy and wish to join that , i arrange finance and take permission of my principal , but when i submitted form they said that U cant do that because u r doing Industrial training not articleship, i said it is a part of articleship, they said if any article does articleship of 2.75 year out of 3 year it matters a little but if some does industrial training of 6 month out of 9 month so it matters a lot so thats y we dont allowww, now u tell whether they are correct???
