Dear Sha,
By going through Section 139 (1) of the CA, 2013, it seems, ADT-1 is required to be filed by Company only at time of appointment and re appointement of the Director.
But we may face technical problem whiling filing Form AOC-4 beacuse need to insert SRN of Form ADT-1 in Form AOC-4, we have to see whether AOC-4 shows technical error while inserting same SRN of ADT-1 for a period of 5 year or it takes.
It is not mentioned anywhere, in rules or act, but it is advisable to file ADT-1 every year.

I think it's your tipping mistake as ADT-1 is for appointment of auditor and not director...

Yes, you are correct, it is Auditor.
Also last year not all companies filed adt1 for appointment cz that form was notified little later by that time few companies filed adt 1 word wAla in gnl 2 then will aoc 4 accept srn of gnl 2

Then what srn to mention in aoc 4? Isn't there any default Srn
i am facing a similar issue. Got an error while uploading AOC-4 today for a pvt ltd co. actually there was no ADT-1 filed for appointment of auditor last year. therefore when i entered z9999999 the form could not be uploaded. i then filed adt 1 with additional fees and inserted the srn in aoc-4 but i got an error as follows:
the srn of form adt-1 entered srn of form gnl-2 is either not filed under 'others' option or the date of filing such form gnl-2 is not in between 01st april, 2014 to 17th oct, 2014."
upon reading the above error i understand that form ADT-1 should have been filed before 17th oct, 2014. this implies that form aoc 4 cannot be filed now. i have raised a ticked with MCA. solution awaited.

Query resolved....after new version of forms were issued today by Mca....but u need to file adt1 first and insert the srn in aoc4.....pls make sure adt1 is approved before u file aoc4...or else aoc4 will not get uploaded.
Also ADT 1 even though its ATP form....it does not get approved immediately...may be due to some technical error....the status immediately appears work in progress....it may take a day's time to get it approved

The SRN of form ADT - 1 entered SRN of form GNL-2 is either not filed under "other" option or the date of filling such form GNL-2 is not in between 1st Apr. 2014 to 20th Oct 2014.
