When & Why GST Tds is applicable?

Already deducting Income Tax TDS under 194C.Why GST Tds ?

What is rate of GST Tds incase of interstate transactions ?

Some times 194C doesn't apply but GST Tds applicable .Why ?

Do not get confused with Income tax TDS and GST TDS , GST TDS is different from Income tax TDS , GST TDS applicable to GOVT Department and person's notified by the GOVT on the recommendation by the GST council , refer section 51 of the CGST ACT 2017.

Iam working in govt only ..

Some times 194C doesn't apply but GST Tds applicable .Why ?

GST Tds applicable on goods also but 194C need not applicable on supply of goods

IGST : 2% .But there is exemption notification incase of interstate.

Deduction will be done by payer / deductor.

So GST tds is applicable to payer
