What is this certificate of practice number?

For CA/CWA no such number is required...the same is CS only....When you click on the box provided for the same, a comment appears saying the same.

but in MCA forms for example DIR-3 while clicking Check form button, it gives error showing COP no is not entered even if the option selected Chartered Accountant in whole time practice. and if i fill up the membership no. in COP no. , it shows error "the person is not authorised to sign" while filing the form with MCA site.

After that if I approach to register Dig. sign of Practicing CA again to update COP no., while registering Dig. Sign, it won't allow to enter COP no. if the person is ICAI member.

How to upload form with Dig. sign of CA?

EVEN IM HAVING SIMILAR PROBLEM, ANYONE PLZ RESOLVE IT.

COP no. is same as Membership No.

you can enter it and upload the Form.

For CMA, ICAI has specially showing COP no. in their COP validity status.

In my opinion Membership Number and COP number are different.

pls chk ur COP back side u wil see the Number

for Associates : ACP No 012345

For Fellows : FCP No 012345

if it is wrong pls clarify me.

Its printed on the back side of  "Certificate Of Practice" issued by ICAI.

In ICAI webside, they have two forms to obtain both 'Enrolment as Membership' number (Form-2 ) and 'Certificate of Practice' number (Form-6).

Probably as per 'Certificate of Practice' number (Form-6), Members can obtain 'Certificate of Practice' if they are practicing wholetime.
