what is excisable turnover

Dear All,

I have two queries in respect to excise:

1) What is the current limit of turnover for applicability of excise?

2) If the turnover of a subsidiary/associate is below the limit of excisable turnover but turnover of holding company is above the same .Is subsidiary/associate company is also liable to pay the excise duty.if yes/no- under which section/ rule?

1) 150 lacs

2) any manufacturer from one or more factories , or any factory with one or more manufactrors.

if ancillary units have same management then their clearance value will get clubbed togather for valuation purpose and exemption.

Hi Dear Sharma,

Further to Mr.Arju's querry I would like to know one more thing. Ours is an 100%EOU registered under STPI scheme. We are also doing DTA Sales and DTA Services. So for us what is the excisable turn over? Export + Domestic sales + Domestic services or Only Dometic sales? Pls clarify
