Briefly, GST levied by Centre (for intra state transactions) is CGST, that levied by States is SGST, Union Territories is UGST
and that levied by Centre over inter state transaction is IGST
all intra state transactions will attract two types of taxes. one is cgst and second is sgst. cgst is called Central goods and services text and sgst is called state goods and services tax. in case of interstate transactions the tax is called I GST which is inter state goods and services tax.
