Accounts Receivable job refers to the work relating to receivables where company receives payments for goods and services, and records these transactions accordingly.

AR's role and responsibilities are :

1. Maintaining the billing system
2. Generating invoices and account statements
3. Performing account reconciliations
4.Maintaining accounts receivable files and records etc.


Whereas Accounts Payable job refers to the work to complete payments and control expenses by receiving payments, plus processing, verifying and reconciling invoices.

AP's role and responsibilities are : 1.Keeping track of all payments and expenditures, including payroll, purchase orders, invoices, statements, etc.
2. Reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
3.Maintaining historical records
4.Paying employees by verifying expense reports and preparing pay checks etc.
