I received this as an sms in my phone on March 28, 2018. Please explain it to me. I'm new to all these financial matters.
"You (XXXXXXXXXX) have not filed ITR for AY 2016 - 17. Pl click on 'Compliance Portal' link at the e-filing portal (My account) to view further information - ITD Compliance."
The message came to me with a title "AD-CMCPCI"
I have got two similar messages. Each with different PAN number mentioned, but the PAN number in both the messages is not mine. Should I be worried? Why will I get this message if its not my PAN number. Is someone misusing my mobile number? If so, Where do I report it?
Could anyone tell me, what is the late filing fee now as the deadline to file the return has passed? And what is the last date for filing belated return for A.Y 2020-21?
