Vs datey or bangur

Without 2nd thought its Bangar. Datey is not from exam point of view.

yes, for self study only am telling bangar is very gud. Exam in May'15 na so buy nw only so u can start nw itself else new edition wl come in november end or december 1st week..til then u cnt start idt. So buy nw only..later u can buy icai supplement material on budget june 2014. In december, u wl get new pm. So finaly, this year edition bangar + supplement material on idt(its a very gud material from icai) + new practice manual + ICAI'S IDT CASE LAWS BOOK. More than enough. u can rock easily.

Bangar book has very much sufficient content along with illustrations for each provisions. So u can understand easily.

Hello, I have gone through contents of both the books. Bangar: if you can study in question answer format and legal language. VS Datey: if you want to underatand conceptually in easy language. Provided you have good hold on legal language to present in exam. I have preferred VS Datey. You can go through some common content of both books and choose the one with which you are more comfortable.

If you are going to take exams in May 15, i would suggest to go for Vineet sodhani - 3 volumes separated into Excise / CENVAT credit / service tax, well compiled and apt for self study. Bangar no doubt good book, but its moslty in Q&A format can find unease at times!
