Voluntary provident fund
Hi All, would like to confirm if employee leave job and want to withdraw EPF then will that be taxable. Assume age is 40 yrs while leaving job. There is no plan to join new employment. Also is it advisable to put extra money under voluntary provident fund.. Please advise here

If it is recognized PF , AND withdrawal is after 5 years of continuous service, then it won't be taxable, however if it is an unrecognized PF then it will be taxable.
If u want to invest in PUBLIC PROVIDENT FUND THEN U WILL GET DEDUCTION AS PER SECTION 80C.
