GST vertical registration process is same as earlier reg. ??

dealer dealing in single business with two different names ... he already registered under gst for 1 busineess now he wants to register for other business .. as a vertical registration
Is he having same PAN for 2 businesses?
yes its a proprietorship firm
Which means same PAN used for both the businesses right ?
