Hi, Previously, we could verify the Form16A we receive by entering the details in https://onlineservices.tin.egov-nsdl.com/TIN/JSP/form16A/LinkToUnauthorizedView.jsp. However, after movement to TRACES, the certificate number has increased from 6 characters to 7 characters. The old TIN site cannot accept more than a 6 digit Cert number. So how do we (as a tax payer) download and verify the Form 16A online.
Presently, Taxpayers/Deductee may verify their TDS Certificates by loging in to Traces Website.
In the login, Under heading "View Tax Credit (Form 26AS)", there is a link "Click here to verify TDS Certificate".
Here you may verify the certificates having 7 digit certificate nos./issued by Traces.
