Vat / service tax
Dear sir
we are in manufacturing process, recently we have hire the xerox machine on rent basis.
for this service, while giving bill he is charging vat is correct or not.
my view he has to charge service tax is right?
if yes please provide me any notification or circular to justify.

Sir,
In my view both are is applicable in this regard due to reason because service provided is provided such service and sell the various material which are the uses in the same such service.
