Hi

I want to know the VAT provision applicable for Service Industry.  The service industry does sells any goods. However, if it want to transfer its assets from one state to another or within the state what are the provision applicalbe. Form F under CST Act cannot be issued to unregistered dealer. So how can service company transfer its assets without registering under VAT???

You need to send the goods only on a delivery challan. A note should accompany the consignment that the transfer is purely for own consumption purposes and not for sale.

However, you may have to register and pay entry tax in the state receiving the goods.
