Vat registration to become online seller on marketplace

Hi,

I want to become a seller on Amazon/Flipkart/Snapdeal, etc.

In this regard, there a few findings I had and I also had a few doubts.

I realise that I need to register for both VAT and CST considering I want this to be future proof, so it is better to have both.

Now, my problem is, I wish to be just an online seller, there will not be any physical store. But, VAT and CST seem to require a Commercial Address for registration. But, I have no requirement for a physical address since I will not be selling anything offline. I will not need any place for storing the goods because I intend to use Amazon's Fulfilled by Amazon program, where they will store the goods at their warehouse and then pack and ship the items themselves. My responsbility is just ot send the goods to Amazon's storehouse.

In that regard, can I get the VAT and CST registration done using my residential address?/

Yes, you can use your residential address as place of business in case of Online selling.

Are you certain of this?

I ask because VAT registration specifically says that it will be cleared only after the officer inspects the premises. I would not want any hassles at that time.

ya .. i am certain for this... my some clients also took TIN ont he residential address where it is doing online selling
