I have one query regarding the VAT INVOICE : Serial Number
I like to give the monthly serial number like in my computerised Billing but with year & month breakup as following:
April : BA \ 2012 \ APR \ 1001 AND SO ON
May : BA \ 2012 \ MAY \ 1001 AND SO ON
Jun : BA \ 2012 \ JUN \ 1001 AND SO ON
Is this ok if yes please give me section so that I can show the same to my CA
Yes, it is fine. Dont forget to print your VAT Registration Number in Invoice.

may you give me the section according to RAJASTHAN SALES TAX because my charted accountant showing the BIG NOOO for the same, they says the number will be in sequence throughout the year as per sales tax act.
