An Assesse is registered in work contract as a civil contractor at delhi, he gots a contract for construction in some other state for construction. He is registered as a work contractor (composition Scheme) Delhi, if he is doing inter state work which act will apply to him.

CST OR WCT OF RESPECTIVE STATE IN WHICH WORK IS CARRIED ON, MEANS WILL  HE HAVE TO APPLY FOR TIN NO. OF RESPECTIVE STATE.

AS PER MY KNOWLEDGE CONTRACTOR GETS REGISTERED THEM SELVES FOR WORK CONTRACT IN THE RESPECTIVE STATE .

BUT WHY NOT CST. I THINK CST IS GOOD OPTION.

if the assesee does not move from his state of origin and sells goods only to the other state then CST is better option, but he has to complete the work in the state which is other than his state of origin, so the wct comes under the respective state where he has to do the job. accordingly he has to get registered under the state where the job is to to be carried out.

Their is a one Distributor which selling a mobile recharge and sim card in the only  mumbai area. but his turn over more than 65 lac. He is a liable to take a vat no. under income tax act.

Selling of Mobile charge can't cover in WCT, it is seaprate matter.

IN WCT if any contractor taking contract of other state he have to get registered under WCT of concern state, as he is moving from his origion state to new state he get work contract for execution, IN CST ONE never movers from his origion state he only sell the material out of state.

Hi,

VAT:   VAT is an indirect tax on most goods and services.

CST: a federal transfer provided to each province and territory in support of postsecondary education, social assistance and social services, including early childhood development and early learning and child care.

WCT: The wind chill temperature is how cold people and animals feel due to heat loss from exposed skin caused by wind and cold. As the wind increases, it draws heat from the body, driving down skin temperature and eventually the internal body temperature

 Thanks
