I have been auditing one of the government company its constructing buildings in Rural & Urban area for that fund received from verious other government departmant, for such company VAT is Applicable ?

Even though it is a government company like Land Army Corporation, KRDC etc they are to be registered under VAT and CST Acts. All rules are applicable to them like for a normal contractor......MJK
