Vacation of office of director

Dear Professional Coleagues,

As per Section 167 (1) (b) of CA, 2013, if Director absents himself from all the meetings of the Board of Directors held during a period of twelve months with or without seeking leave of absence of the board, the office of a director shall become vacant. BUT

If Director participates through video conferencing or other audio visual means, does it compliance of participation and need not to vacant the office?

i opine that it is compliance of provisions of the Act and not liable to vacant the office, am i right in my interpretation?
