Utilities for efiling ay 2015-16

After notifying the additional requirements (like bank details, foreign travel etc.) in the new ITR forms for A.Y. 2015-16, the govt. faced severe criticism from experts and others. Then, after all the hullabaloo, the govt. decided to reconsider the additional compliance requirements.

Currently the new ITR forms are under revision and the FM has said that the govt. is coming with simplified forms soon.

Exactly we are in second week of may.. Stil not able to file returns....!!!

All IT Payers must have the facility to file return on 1st april for preceding years

It shows the inefficiency of CBDT to release ITR form & utilities in time. We are still far behind in this direction whatever the reason may be. 

The Income Tax Department has been awarded ‘Prime Minister’s award for excellence in Public Administration’ for ‘Easy Tax Compliance through Quality Service’. Encouraged by this I hope it releases all utilities next year in time on 1/4/2016. :)

Surely, they must commit to a date for release of utilities for AY 2015-16, shouldnot be later than 15 May 2015, what is the point of efiling and all that if the tax authority is so laggard.

Per Update of 22/04/2015 on e-Filing home page, the Authority states "CBDT has notified ITR 1 ITR 2 and ITR 4S for AY 2015-16.......", but a few lines down in same para it's stated "Departmental utilities shall be made available shortly". Why the delay in releasing the "utilities" when the forms have been "notified' ? It is completely mystifying..

IS THERE ANOTHER WAY TO FILE ITR ONLINE FOR A.Y. 15-16?

from 3rd week of june it is available.

CBDT has yet to give revised forms but we have to give account no. & IFS code no. of all bank accounts ,it is clarified.

Thanks, but do NRIs have to provide details of their accounts overseas ?

We are almost at the end of the 3rd week of June,but the revised utilities for e-filing ITRs for AY 2015-16 are yet to be posted. The delay is deplorable, and unacceptable, but then the IT department is a law unto itself !!.

This is a part of Indian Govt. Slow working is inherited...
