Hello friends, pls let me know about State Bank of india that wheather it is registered under the companies act,1956, if yes then why it does not use the word "LIMITED" ? and if not registered then which kind of organisation it is?

State Bank of India is registered under Banking Regulation Act,1949 although provision of Companies Act ,1956 are also apply to it so far as they are inconsistent with them. So, no need to write word LIMITED
