Can anybody plz tell me the differnece between TRADE INVESTMENTS and NON TRADE INVESTMENTS..

Trade investments are ment for doing business...like cash blockage in debtors is one type of trading investment from which entity can earn profits.
Non trade investments are like FDs / Government Bonds etc...which is not ment for doing business but sole purpose is to Investment and not earning profits.

Trade Investments can be defined as the Investments which are purchased with a view to sell them for higher price and earn a profit
Non-Trade Nvestments can be defined as the Investments which are purchased to earn Income on them (Dividend/Interest)
