Urgent membership query

Congratulation on passing the exam. and regarding your membership, you'll get your membership no around 2 weeks through e-mail if everything goes smoothly. The e-mail specifically inform you about your effective date of your membership status. Once you got the CoP you can start sign the audit report. Good Luck

I would like to confirm that, immediately after receiving the mail w.r.t membership number, i would be eligible to sign write?

or should i wait for the letter to come??

I suggest you should wait for mail that confirm your CoP status rather than membership, because you cannot sign audit report based on membership no. and I don't know whether CoP and membership status came in one email or not.

Also, just for verification, check your status on institute website for the surety that you have finally alloted membership and CoP

i also cleared my ca final exam in this july. but i got my membership number. u can contact to icai helpline

contact to icai they will confirm membership no. to you.

afterwards check your mrn in members section 

 if you can see your detail there i.e. date of enrolment etc.

afterwards you can sign the audit report

Usually it takes around 30 to 45 days to receive your Membership Number. However, if you wish to obtain it speedily then you may have to contact your decentralized office and get the work done within a week or so.
