URGENT - MASTER DATA CORRECTION FOR DIRECTORSHIP DETAILS

MCA 347 views 1 replies

WHILE CHECKING THE MASTER DATA FOR ONE OF OUR DIRECTORS ON MASTER DATA OF MCA , IT WAS FOUND THAT THE COLUMNS WERE MISMATCHING AND WHERE THE DIRECTOR WAS REGULARISED ON A PARTICULAR DATE SAY 27.03.2015 IT IS SHOWING AS CESSATION DATE AND AGAIN THE CESSATION DATE IS SHOWN SEPARATELY ON MCA.

KINDLY ADVISE IF I COULD MAKE THE CORRECTION THROUGH CRF FORM AND ALSO ADVISE THE PROCEDURE TO FILE THE SAME URGENTLY AS FOR ALL THE DIRECTORS THE SAME CONDITION IS SHOWN ON MASTER DATA .

THANKS IN ADVANCE.

Hi Kavita,

Regarding the master data mismatch for directorship details on MCA portal (e.g., Regularisation date showing as Cessation date):

1. Can you correct this through CRF (Change Request Form)?

  • No, CRF form is not meant for correcting data errors in MCA Master Data related to directorship dates.

  • CRF is mainly for correcting company master data (like registered office, directors’ personal details, etc.), but not date mismatches shown incorrectly by MCA’s system.

2. What is the correct procedure to rectify such discrepancies?

  • These data mismatches/errors on MCA portal master data are system errors or data entry mistakes on MCA side.

  • You need to raise a grievance/request for correction directly with MCA through their MCA helpdesk or grievance portal.

  • Provide:

    • Details of the company (CIN),

    • Director’s DIN,

    • The incorrect data as appearing,

    • The correct data with supporting documents (e.g., board resolution, appointment/cessation proof).

3. Steps to file grievance:

4. Follow up:

  • After submission, you will get a ticket number.

  • Follow up via email or MCA helpline quoting the ticket number.

  • MCA usually resolves such data mismatches after verification within a few weeks.

Summary

  • No direct form for correcting this data mismatch.

  • File grievance on MCA portal with proof.

  • Follow up with MCA for rectification.
